How did the high school football season go overall?
“The season went okay overall. We made the playoffs and won the district, but our non-district schedule was pretty tough. Being nine points and only a few plays away from 3-1 going into district play was tough, but it definitely helped us win tough games down the stretch. Overall, I felt the season went great.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“I'll be playing basketball this winter. With that, I plan on lifting two to three times a week and throwing with receivers and that stuff.”
What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“Between now and next season, I definitely want to improve my game mentally. Watching film and being able to break it down and that sort of stuff is what I think will help me the most. Along with that, it is physically getting faster and stronger.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I think our football team will be very good next year. This year we were missing Blaise Gunnerson, who will make a huge impact offensively and defensively. Also, both offensive and defensive lines should be really good, so that will be great for us. I think that we could win the district and make a playoff run.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“Our toughest opponent will probably be South Central Calhoun. They have beaten us the past two years, and they return some great athletes.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I haven't thought much about playing sports in college, but if the right thing came, I would probably choose football.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“There haven't been any colleges recruiting me, but I have received some emails and things like that for golf.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I haven't made any college trips yet.”
Do you have plans for game day trips this fall?
“I have been on two visits with Blaise Gunnerson to Iowa and Nebraska.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite college growing up has always been Iowa State.”
