What does it mean to have your team qualify for state?
“We made it last year and it was a big moment for us with so many seniors. It was big for me because my brother was on the team and it was one of my first years playing with him. We believe that we can make a run and win a title.”

What do you know about Garner-Hayfield/Ventura?
“They have a couple of big guys. They have a 6-7 sophomore that is being looked at by Division I schools. We have Matt Dentlinger who is one of the best players in the state. He can do everything on the court. They have some big guards. It will be a good defensive game.”

What are the keys to have success in this game?
“We are going to have to play really good help defense. We need to play good defense. If we make shots, we’ll be fine.”

Do you want to play basketball in college?
“Yeah, it has been my biggest dream since I was a kid. I dream of playing college ball. I want to get that chance.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I’ve had a couple of coaches contact me. I am really looking hard at Morningside College. Cooper Ross and I want to college ball to together and that could be a good place.”

What other schools are involved?
“I think Buena Vista has contacted me. I don’t think I’ve gotten any other ones.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite college team is Kansas but that is a really big school. I am looking at Morningside because that is a school that could be a good opportunity for me to play with Cooper.”
