How has the season been going so far?
“The season itself has been very fun. We have a lot of young guys playing for us this year and sometimes having that little experience gets the best of us. We have proved that we can play with some of the best teams in our conference and other good teams that we play. We lost two really close games to Lynnville-Sully and Wapello. Both games were very good games.”
What are your thoughts overall on your next opponent, Montezuma?
“They are at the top of the conference so far and are a really good team. I think If we can slow down Trey Shearer and Hunter Ray, we can win the game.”
What do you feel your team can improve on?
“I feel that our team can improve on moving the ball more instead of quick first pass shots. We also need to take care of the ball in crucial moments of the game. A couple of turnovers have already costed us two games this year.”
What are your goals for the rest of the season?
“The goals for the rest of the season are to win our side of the conference and make a big run in district play.”
What sport do you want to play in college?
“I want to play basketball in college.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“William Penn has offered, and I have talked with Coe and Briar Cliff.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“William Penn I would say because they have already offered.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have not made any college trips yet.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Iowa is my favorite college growing up.”
