How did the baseball season go for your team?
“I thought the regular season went pretty well. We were 12-5 overall with half of our losses coming to a very senior heavy South Winn team. We were a very young team with only one senior leaving us. We got a first-round forfeit and then just didn’t show up in round two against MFL. That was a disappointing way to end the season, but we return everybody but one guy for next season.”
What are your workout plans now going forward?
“I plan on continuing my regular lifting routine in the off-season and playing baseball as much as I possibly can. I have a few things to straighten out with my swing and I’m working to develop an off-speed pitch this off-season.”
What are you trying to improve on the most this off-season?
“I’m really trying to focus on fixing the upper half of my swing so I can get back to having a nice looking swing like I had in Little League and just haven’t been able to find again.”
How do you believe your high school baseball team will be next season?
“I think with all the varsity experience we have returning, we have a good shot at being a contender for the conference title and possibly a state run.”
What is the toughest game on your schedule for the 2021 season?
“We haven’t received our 2021 schedules yet but I know it will be filled with challenges as we have a tough conference and Coach Mauss told us he would be getting us real close or even a 40 game schedule, and he always fills it with challenges whether it be big schools or ranked 1A schools.”
What sport do you want to play in college?
“I would like to pursue baseball in college. It has always been my favorite sport and I feel it is the sport I have the best chance in going somewhere in.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I have not yet received much attention from colleges recruiting wise. However, I have not ever participated in any showcase camps and I do plan on doing some camps this next summer.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have not made any college trips yet, but I would love to make some this year.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite college growing up has always been the University of Iowa. It has always been a dream of mine to be an athlete at the University of Iowa.”
