What have you been doing overall with workouts as of late?
“Since we got a new coach, we have had open gyms or are shooting every single morning. After school, me and some other guys on the team have set up practice for us to workout.”
How do you feel your team will be this winter?
“With the individual practices, we have a lot of chemistry from the returning players that played last year. From what I’ve seen, we’ll be a lot better.”
Who will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“I don’t really know. I don’t look or care. I just know about us and hopefully it’ll be better for us.”
What do you know about your opener against Urbandale?
“Two of their best guys are gone now but I know they have two good players coming back. We’ll have to stop those two.”
What are the keys for your team to be successful?
“Really the biggest thing is we have to make shots. Last year, we had a horrible shooting percentage and turned the ball over too much. We are working on that.”
Do you want to play college basketball?
“Oh definitely.”
Have you had any recruiting attention yet?
“There are a couple of colleges. One is Queens College in New York City.”
Are there any other ones?
“Off the top of my head, I don’t know. It is just some of the smaller ones around here.”
Have you made any visits?
“No, not really.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite college is North Carolina or Iowa State. It is one of those.”
