How did the high school football season go overall?
“I thought our season turned out well. A lot of people were doubting us after the 2-7 season last year. We put a lot of work in this off-season by running routes and doing extra workouts during quarantine. This was a big factor in our success this year.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“I am in basketball currently so I will be lifting with the team and then after that I will be lifting with the track and baseball teams.”
What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“I want to improve on my footwork and release off the line.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I think we have a great group of guys who want to work hard and achieve something great next year. We will lose a lot of talent, but we are returning a lot of guys who got varsity snaps this past season.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“I think Algona will be a tough team as they lost a lot of guys last year who carried the load and this year they had a lot of new guys who had to step up. Next year they will be coming back with a lot of experience. I also think Webster City will be a tough matchup as they usually are. They run the spinner back offense really well. It is a hard defense to prepare for because you can’t simulate game speed. They make very little mistakes and don’t beat themselves.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I would want to play football in college if I had the opportunity.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I haven’t been talked to by any schools or coaches.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have not made any college trips.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“With my dad being from Kansas and most of my family going to Kansas State, I’m a big fan. I was also blessed to have the opportunity to go to a lot of games with my parents buying season tickets every year.”
