How did the high school football season go overall?
“I was happy with the way our football season went. We didn’t make it as far as we wanted to, but we took a big step from last year.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“This year I am going to wrestle and try to improve on that and get stronger for football. I’ll play golf in the spring where we have high expectations for ourselves.”
What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“As a player, I wanted to become more of a leader as we graduate five seniors who were good leaders. Along with that, I will try to get stronger and faster throughout wrestling and throughout summer liftings.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“Next season, we will need some younger guys to step up into starting roles as we lose 4 starters. We know we can build on last year and make a deeper run.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“Our district will be good next year. There was a lot of young teams, but next year I think our toughest competition will be Newell Fonda and Remsen-Saint Mary’s. Newell had lot of young guys this year. Remsen had a good year this year and had a lot of players that will be returning to make a big impact. “
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I would like to play golf in college. Golf is my favorite sport and I have always wanted to play college golf.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I haven’t talked to any college coaches yet, but I hope during this golf season I will be able to talk to some.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I am excited to take trips to colleges once they get ahold of me.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite college has always been Iowa State. I was raised a Cyclone and will always be a State fan.”
