What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“With not having much to do each day, I work out between 3-4 hours every day. That consists of lifting weights, ladder work, body weight work, and running hills.”

What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“Next season I believe I'll be playing mostly defensive instead of tackle. I've been work on getting faster off the edge and 1v1s against a tackle.”

How has Covid-19 factored into your workouts?
“I think the main thing that Covid-19 has changed while working out is the intensity. I'm usually working out in a full weight room that's loud with everybody working hard. Now I kind of just have to bring my own intensity to get a good lift.”

How do you feel your team will do this football season?
“I believe this upcoming season is ours. We've been working so hard for this season. We have almost 20 seniors this season which most have been playing varsity since sophomore year. I know we're going to be ready.”

Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“Our toughest competition for this season will probably be Cedar Rapids Xavier. They've been one of the powerhouses in Iowa and they're always good.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against this fall?
“The toughest player I think will play is TJ Bollers from Clear Creek Amana.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Playing sports in college has been a dream of mine forever. However, it took me awhile to figure out what sport I wanted to play. Freshman year was when I figured out that football is the sport that I'm good at and want to play at a high level.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Schools recruiting me are South Dakota State, North Dakota, Western Illinois, Eastern Illinois, Kansas State, Minnesota State, Augustana University, and Grandview University.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“South Dakota State.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“Sadly, all my college trips were supposed to be in April because of Covid-19 and they were cancelled.”

Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I have no plans for college trips at the moment.”

What camps are you planning to do this summer?
“At the moment, I am trying to figure out what time camps are going to be, so I do not know.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My family was never really into football when I was younger, so I never really watched it and never really had a team. Once I started getting into football, we watched it all the time.”
