How did the high school football season go overall?
“It went very well for our team. We went 8-3 and went to the quarterfinals. Our offense ended up as one of the top offenses in the state and our defense had 2 shutouts. It wasn’t the end result we wanted, but we made great improvements from last year.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“First, I have to heal my arm because I broke it during the season. Once that is healed, I will be playing basketball and lifting so I can get bigger and stronger for next season.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I think we will have another great season next year. We will definitely throw the ball a lot compared to our power run offense that we had this year. We bring back a lot of good weapons and have some huge linemen coming up along with some guys that played on our line this year. We will play a very different style of football that we can be successful doing.”
What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“The toughest team we would have to play next year would be Xavier. They are the team to beat every year and bring a great level of physicality to every game that they play.”
Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“It’s tough to know right now who we will have to face, but Pella or Xavier will definitely have some guys next year that will be very tough to stop. If we had to face Harlan again, Will McLaughlin is definitely a guy that is tough to play against.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I would like to play sports in college and I would like to play football on the collegiate level.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“No colleges.”
Do you have plans for any trips soon?
“I have no plans for any trips soon.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I grew up being an Iowa fan but since my brother committed to Iowa State, I have turned into a loyal Iowa State fan.”
