How did the high school football season go overall?
“Last season ended a little sooner than we would have liked. We were stopped short of our goal of the playoffs. Other than that, we had a very good season I thought.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“Once wrestling is over, it’s full feed and right back into that weight room to get ready for next season.”
What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“I am trying to improve my field vision the most. Recognizing plays, knowing what to do and realizing what to do in the middle of a drive when my focus isn’t as sharp. I have to be ready on the little plays. I focused a lot on the big plays and not focusing enough on the little ones. “
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“Next season, I think we have a really good shot at going the distance. It’s going to be tough, but I know we can handle it.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“I think every team in our district is going to be good but Xavier to me stands out the most. We all want this game and we are going to work our butts off to prove that we are one of the best teams in the state.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I want to play football in college. It’s been a dream of mine forever.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I’ve gotten a few visit requests from schools such as Wisconsin-Platteville, Macalester, Iowa Central, Coe, Augustana and South Western.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Coe has been sending a lot of things to me.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I’ve visited Iowa Central.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I plan on going again here soon. I’ve scheduled a visit to UW-Platteville.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Growing up, I loved watching Clay Matthews play for the Packers. I like him because he played for USC and then my favorite NFL team. I like the way he plays the game of football. He plays fast and hard and he seems to always be ready for anything any team throws at him.”
