How did the high school football season go overall?
“Overall, our season was not nearly what we wanted it to be ending the year 3-6 but lining up against tough teams every Friday night.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“Currently I am playing basketball, and after we finish the school season, I will transfer to playing basketball with my AAU team out of Algona. Also, I will be competing in track and baseball, all while doing weight workouts with the football team.”

What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“As a player this next season, I will be trying to improve my reads when facing different defenses, and on defense may think about transferring down to a linebacker position from free safety lastly year. Also, I want to add strength and weight to my physique.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I think this upcoming year has a lot of bright things to look forward too. We will be returning nearly every skilled position, and everyone is on board working their butts off every day because we all got the same goal in mind.”

Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“With districts recently being released, we were put into a solid district where we will have to compete every Friday making sure not to overlook one team or another. We have been drilled into the mindset of winning every play and that’s what it will take to win meaningful games in the long run.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, my goal has always been to be a collegiate athlete. At this point, I need to decide between football and basketball.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“At the moment, I haven’t heard from many colleges, but I am looking forward to talking to coaches and getting to know the programs.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have not visited any colleges yet, but I am hoping to get on visits and see some campuses.”

Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“After the basketball season is over, I hope to get around and visit as many colleges as possible to see some options.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Growing up, I have always been a Hawk fan. It would be a dream come true to play in Kinnick or Carver.”
