How did the spring and summer go for you with basketball?
“This summer went very well for basketball. I travelled down to Kansas and Chicago, and I worked out a lot with my AAU team in Fort Dodge this spring.”

What are your workout plans now going forward?
“My workout plan going forward are working on my handles and passing since I’ve got to be even more of a playmaker this year than I was last year.”

What have you improved on the most since last season?
“The thing that has gotten the best with me is definitely my passing mechanics and pin point passing skills from all types of angles like drop passes, over the shoulder, no look, and behind the back. I just wanted to be able to put the ball where ever I want whenever I wanted it to be there. I think that I achieved that this off-season.”

How do you believe your high school basketball team will be next season?
“I think our team looks solid. Just going off of open gyms and summer camps, we can go about eight or nine players deep without having a huge talent drop off. We have solid athletes and I hope everyone has the same goal in mind. No stats, just success.”

What is the toughest game on your schedule for 2018-2019?
“The toughest team coming on our schedule is Pocahontas. Every year, they bring in fast athletes that can get to the rim, spread defenses out, open it up for the knock down shooters they have.”

What are the keys for your team having success?
“The keys to our team’s success will be ball movement. We go very deep and if each team member gets the right amount of shots, there is no telling how many points we can score this year. I honestly believe that we have six or seven twenty plus point capable players that can go off at any given time on any night. Defensively, we are long and athletic so our ability to play passing lanes will be key.”

What sport do you want to play in college?
“I have narrowed down the sport to football. I am just better built to be an offensive lineman at 6-foot-3 ½, and 315 pounds. It’s not a collegiate power forwards body.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I have been recruited by Morningside, Simpson, Iowa Central, Dordt, Bethel, Briar Cliff, and Wayne State.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“The schools that are recruiting me the hardest have been Simpson, Morningside, and Dordt.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have made trips down to Morningside and Simpson. I absolutely loved both campuses and their athletic facilities were both top tier. I also briefly visited Dordt for a football camp over the summer.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Growing up, I always wanted to say that I blocked on the best line in the country. I was always impressed by Iowa’s line and I always wanted to be able to look back and claim them as my alma mater.”
