How did the high school football season go overall?
“The season went very good. I was able to learn a lot from Coach Ploessl about how to control the game and compete at the varsity level. The team had some very good players that were fun to play with and made everyone around them better. I loved how much faster the speed of varsity plays compared to the sophomore level.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“I am preparing for the upcoming baseball season. I am playing in a spring baseball league every weekend. I am also lifting five days a week and still throwing the football a few times during the week.”

What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“I am looking to be able to slow down the game much more and be able to sit in the pocket longer while also taking what the defense gives me. I am also looking to improve my running game and use my legs to get us some extra yards if needed.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I think our team will be a real surprise. We have some very good sophomores that are freak athletes that I think will make a big impact. They will also mix in with our core group of varsity guys very well. We have a very tough schedule, but I think we will surprise a lot of people.”

Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“Cedar Falls is always a tough team to play against. They seem to always have guys that can play, and their teams are very good. The inner-city game against Hempstead is a fun game to play. The whole town is there, and bragging rights are on the line.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I do want to play at the next level. I still love both baseball and football and know choosing between the two is very hard. I would like to see which sport gives me the best opportunity for playing baseball or football and giving me the best education.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I have received multiple junior day invites. I have also had Western Illinois contact me and have been talking to Coach Hartman from St. Cloud State.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have not made any college trips yet.”

Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I plan to attend the University of Northern Iowa camp and the University of Iowa camp this summer.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite team growing up has always been the Hawkeyes. I love going to games at Kinnick, they are always amazing. The Iowa fan base is incredible.”
