How has the season been going so far?
“So far, we’re off to a rough start. Our record says we’re 1-6, but we are better than a 1-6 team. We’ve had quite a few games that came down to the last shot in the final seconds.”
What are your thoughts on your next opponent in Cedar Rapids Jefferson?
“They are currently 4-3, so it will be another good game. Over the summer, we played Jefferson a few times in Loras league and each game was a battle that came down to the last minutes.”
What do you feel your team can improve on?
“I feel that our team can improve greatly on offense. We often take shots off only one or two passes, without flipping sides of the floor. We need to get more post touches also, because that will open up everything else.”
What are the keys for your team being successful going forward?
“In order to be successful going forward, we need to keep our confidence high. We need to trust in each other and know that we’ll figure things out and take each game one at a time.”
What are your goals for the rest of the season?
“Our goal for the rest of the season is to end with a winning record and put ourselves in a position to make a strong run towards state.”
What sport do you want to play in college?
“I’d love to play basketball in college.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I’ve heard from schools such as Iowa, UNI, Wisconsin, and some other smaller schools.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“UNI has been the most active in reaching out to me.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I’ve taken a couple unofficial visits to Iowa and UNI.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Growing up, I’ve loved watching the schools near me play such as Wisconsin, Iowa, and UNI. Recently, I have become a WIAC fan also because two of my brothers play in it.”
