How did the basketball season go for your team?
“The basketball season went really well. Our goal from the start of the season was to make it to Des Moines and play at State. We did that and even won two games for our school's best finish ever for the basketball team.”

What are your workout plans now going forward?
“Right now, I'm lifting five days a week and am in the gym every day of the week. Four of those days are with a coach and three are days when I get in by myself.”

What are you trying to improve on the most this off-season?
“This off-season, I am trying to mostly improve on my body and ball handling. At the next level, that might be two of the most important areas of the game. I am also working on my speed and how quickly I can move my feet laterally as well.”

What AAU team are you playing for this off-season? How do you feel your team will be?
“I am playing for the Iowa Mavericks. I just got back from injury, so I have only played in two of the tournaments, but things are going good so far. We have a good group of guys that like playing together so it makes it fun.”

What are your goals for the AAU season?
“My goals for the AAU season are to play the best competition I can and to really prove to coach that I can play at the next level.”

How do you believe your high school basketball team will be next season?
“I think our high school team will be good again and have a chance to make another trip to Des Moines. We bring back three of five starters and some big pieces that came off the bench for us last year. Overall, we have a really strong core coming back.”

What is the toughest game on your schedule for 2018-2019?
“The toughest game on our schedule for next year will for sure be Grandview Christian. They just came off a state title and bring back some really key guys.”

What sport do you want to play in college?
“I definitely want to play basketball in college.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I have had some light DII interest from schools like Upper Iowa, Wayne State, Black Hills State, and University of Sioux Falls. I've had a lot of DIII interest from schools like Nebraska Wesleyan, Wisconsin-Platteville, Central, Wartburg, and Iowa Wesleyan. I've also had a lot of NAIA interest from Morningside, Midland, Mount Mercy, and Waldorf.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“I would say the schools that have been recruiting me the hardest are Morningside, Mount Mercy, Midland, and Wartburg.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“For college visits, I took an unofficial visit to Sioux Falls at the end of the high school season this year. I also took an official visit to Morningside and am scheduled to go there the 25th and stay the night on campus with the team until the 26th. I also have a visit on the 21st to Mount Mercy. The Midland coach called me a couple of days ago and said he wants to get me on campus in the fall once school starts for a visit.”

What camps are you going to this summer?
“For camps, I already attended Upper Iowa's Elite Camp that I was invited to. I also was invited to play at Waldorf, Wayne State, and Sioux Falls, which I will be playing in. I have been invited to more than that, but those are the ones I am playing in.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“No, I have always just been a college sports fan in general.”
