How has the season been going so far?
“This season has been going great. Everyone bought into our team goals and off-season work, and it shows on Friday nights.”
What are your thoughts on Pella Christian?
“Pella Christian is a good team. They have some playmakers and they play hard. We’ll need to be physical and execute like we have all season to beat them.”
What does it mean to know your team is playing at the UNI-Dome?
“It means a lot to all of us players and the community. Growing up watching DNH teams play in the Dome was always fun. One of our team goals we made in the off-season was to make it to the Dome, so everyone is really excited.”
What do you feel your team can improve on?
“There’s always room for improvement for everyone. One thing I’m focusing on is mechanics and getting off blocks better.”
What are the keys for your team being successful going forward?
“For us, we just need to focus on improving the little things. Our coaches have been telling us that we don’t need to do anything special, we just need to keep doing what we have all season long.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I definitely want to play football in college. I’ve wanted to since I was a kid.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I haven’t received anything yet.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I’ve went to some different colleges to watch, but nothing official. I’ve went on a few trips to watch games, from Juco to the D1 level, at schools to check out the football, campuses, and the atmosphere.”
Do you have plans for game day trips this fall?
“Right now, I don’t have plans to go on any visits.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite college growing up is Iowa State. My dad went to school there, so I’ve been an ISU fan since I was little.”
