How did the football season go for your team?
“It was a down year for us. We were a young team that took some time to get going, but we improved a lot as the year went on. Our expectations are to get to the Dome, so it was a down year.”
What are your workout plans now going forward?
“I plan on lifting three times a week in the mornings and do a speed workout three times a week in the afternoon. Every weekend, I spend at least one day working on my 40-time and explosive speed.”
What are you trying to improve on the most this off-season?
“I’m always working on getting bigger, faster, and stronger.”
How do you believe your team will be next season?
“We just moved down to 1A and I think this team has the potential to be state champions. We had two seniors that started last year, so we have everyone back. Our defense is full of dogs and our offense has the potential to be one of the highest scoring teams in the state. We just have to get over that hump of being a good team.”
What is the toughest game on your schedule for 2018?
“All we know is that we are 1A. We will know our schedule in two weeks.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I would love to play football in college. That has always been a dream of mine.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“The DI colleges are Minnesota, Indiana, Iowa State, UNI and a handful of DII colleges.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“I would say Indiana or UNI.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“Yes, I have gone to visits at Minnesota, Indiana, UNI and Minnesota State.”
What camps are you going to this summer?
“I have not decided yet. I will know for sure after my winter sport is over. The one camp I know for sure I will be attending is the Nike Opening this spring.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Yes, my dad played at Iowa State so I have always been a big Cyclone fan my whole life.”
