How did the high school football season go overall?
“This year’s high school football season went great because of the connection we had throughout the team compared to last year. It made a huge difference. I improved a lot from sophomore year. I barely played and this year I was a first team all stater. I honestly couldn't believe what a journey it was with this years’ team.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“When I was a freshman, I would have never thought I would want it to be football season again. I plan on doing a lot more strength workouts because I have the height. I just need to put on muscle and weight. I plan on doing track and focusing hard on that because I’m trying to go back to the Drake Relays.”
What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“I'm trying to improve being more physical on the field. I've improved a substantial amount from sophomore year, but I feel like I have more in me.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I'm very excited to see what our team is able to do next year. I know we will be good because we have some people in the grade below that can step up and replace what we are missing from last season. The toughest part will be our line and that's our coach’s job. He told us we didn't have to worry about that.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“Our toughest competition for next year will be North Linn, South Hardin, and Regina. South Hardin's program is heading in the right direction so that's a game we need to have our heads up for. Iowa City Regina brings back some playmakers that we will need to stop. They have a good quarterback that was battling some injuries last season. Our coach said that we need to watch out for some sneaky athletes from North Linn.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one
“I would like to play either football or run track in college. I don't know which one, but if I could do both, it would be great.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“The only college that has been recruiting me is Minnesota State Moorhead.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have not made any college trips but me and my parents have been looking at dates to go out and visit colleges.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Growing up, my favorite college was Arizona State University.”
