How did the high school football season go overall?
“Overall, the season went pretty well. With a completely new coaching staff, we had our sights set to turn the program around and we did that. We competed well across the board, no matter who we were playing that week.

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“I’ve started to turn my focus now towards basketball this winter and becoming a leader on the team. I’ll begin my own workouts as well as with my team as the season goes on to work on the things we need to do to win.”

What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“I’ve been putting a majority of my focus towards getting stronger and being better with my hands. The stronger I can become will help make me become more physical in the trenches. Using my hands-on defense was really something I focused on this football season to get better leverage and to get off blocks more effectively.”

Were you pleased overall with how you played?
“I was content with the way I played this year, yes. Being a leader on the team put some extra expectations in my head, which really motivated me to play well for myself and my teammates as well.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I do want to play sports in college. I would really enjoy playing football at the next level.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I’ve been getting interest from Iowa Central, Wartburg, and Augustana.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“Yes, to Iowa Central and Wartburg.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Growing up, my favorite college to follow and watch was Iowa. It’s been really fun watching them over the years.”
