What have you been doing as of late with your workouts?
“We have exercises that work our entire body, like squats, deadlift, bench, as well as things like push press, and dumbbell RDLs. Our entire team is making good progress with our strength.”
What do you feel you have improved on the most since football ended?
“I think my strength and speed have improved most since the end of the season. I credit that to the weight room and the process we at Roosevelt have.”
What are your areas of focus going forward?
“I want to become a better tackler. Also, I want to recognize routes better and that comes with watching film.”
How do you believe your team will be next season?
“Our team is very young, but we are working harder than people think and will be better than expected.”
What is the toughest game on your schedule for 2018?
“It is tough to say which game will be toughest. As a team, we have to go week by week, one game at a time, and play each game with the same mindset.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“For college, I’d like to play football. That’s my goal; to play at the next level, whether it’s D1, D2, or D3.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“There have been a variety of schools from different levels looking at me from Iowa and Iowa State to Augustana and Wayne State.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“The school that has been recruiting me hardest is Drake. I have a really good connection with Coach Stepsis and I like the atmosphere there.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have made trips to Augustana, Drake, Iowa, Iowa State, and Winona state as of right now.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite colleges growing up were Iowa and Florida. I was just always a Hawkeye fan and I’m a Florida Gator fan because my dad played football there.”
