How has everything with the football season been going so far?
“We started off fast, but we are still working on the details because they are important to beating good teams.”
Have you been pleased with how you have played this season?
“So far I am relatively pleased with my play, my coaches made the decision to keep me off defense in order to stay fresh to run the ball late in the 4th quarter and that has benefited me even though I miss playing defense.”
How do you feel your team has played?
“My team has lots to prove, we have a record of 6-1 and we didn’t play up to our potential against our most recent matchup DNH. But we have a lot of talent and if we fix the small details I believe we can be great.”
What do you feel your team can improve on?
“My team can improve on not having one person take a play off because those are the plays we are so close to breaking and those details like blocking downfield and doing your job every single play will separate us from other teams that are our caliber.”
What are the keys for your team being successful going forward?
“After being punched in the mouth by Dike I think we realized that we aren’t as great as we thought we are so we need to stay hungry and focus on becoming one unit rather than 11 individuals.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“It has always been a goal of mine to play sports in college ever since I was a little kid. I’m torn between football and track because I love both but I think it will come down to which sport I have more opportunity for success in.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Very few colleges have been recruiting me, I had a game day visit at William Penn but otherwise my recruitment is very slow at the moment.”
Do you have plans for game day trips?
“If any colleges would extend an invite to come watch a game I would be more than grateful to attend to build relationships and see football at the college level.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Growing up I have always loved the University of Iowa and UNI because of the home feeling and history within my family.”
