How has the season been going so far?
“We lost 14 seniors from last year, so most of us are experiencing our first year playing varsity basketball. We have lost a couple of really close games, but we are improving and will continue to as we all get experience on the floor.”

What do you feel your team can improve on?
“Our coach has always said a way we can always improve as a team is to communicate on the floor to get everyone on the team on the same page. There can never be too much communication on the floor.”

What are the keys for your team being successful going forward?
“We need to be a fundamentally strong team since we aren’t the biggest and most experienced. We can’t turn the ball over and have defensive breakdowns.”

What are your goals for the rest of the season?
“A goal of mine is to finish the season .500 or higher. I need to continue to get others involved, use my size to rebound, and be aggressive offensively. I also want to be more consistent and confident with my shot.”

What sport do you want to play in college?
“When I was a kid, I always looked up to the Mustangs basketball players and I wanted to be out there one day. I made a goal to try and play as a freshman. Now my goal is to go on and play basketball at the college level.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“No colleges have talked to me.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I haven’t made any college trips.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I’ve liked watching Iowa State basketball and they are my favorite team.”
