“Right now, we are in the middle of the track season. We’ll be finishing that up and then hit summer weights hard.”
What have you improved on the most since football wrapped up?
“Definitely my hip flexibility, explosiveness, arm strength, and my hands for sure.”
How do you believe your team will be next season?
“I feel we’ll definitely contend for state. We have a very experienced group of people coming back with a lot of sophomores that were brought up last year. We have a lot of people stepping up as leaders.”
What is the toughest game on your schedule for 2017?
“Probably Washington. Them or Iowa City West.”
How do you feel about your first opponent of the football season in Fort Dodge?
“Last year, they were pretty good but we didn’t know what to expect. This year we have more video on them and know their key players. We’ll go in with an edge.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“My recruiting has picked up since my junior year. I got letters from North Dakota State, Navy, UNI, Iowa State, and South Dakota State. Division II wise, it has been Northwest Missouri State, Minnesota Mankato, Upper Iowa, for jucos it is Iowa Central, Ellsworth, Iowa Western, and a bunch of Division IIIs. I went to junior days at North Dakota, Navy, UNI, and I’ll be going to Winona State.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Navy is definitely the school hitting me up every week asking how things are going. I am excited with that one.”
Have any college coaches visited your school this spring?
“A Drake University coach came and invited us and the NDSU coach said he’ll be down in a little bit.”
What camps are you going to this summer?
“So far, I have UNI, Iowa State, and I’d like to go to Minnesota but it depends with some Division II schools and definitely some FCS schools.”
