How has everything with the football season been going so far?
“I think this year our defense is really solid. In years past, Cascade has been known as an offense minded team. The last few years our coach Tim Frake has really put forward the importance of defense. This year, I feel like teams have a hard team running against our defense. Our offense has come off a little rusty. We have a brand-new quarterback this year who has never played that position before and game after game he is learning and becoming better.”
Who is your next opponent? What are your thoughts on them overall?
“Our opponent is North Cedar. This game will be a fun one considering it is the first game of play in our district. By that time, we will be in the groove of things and hopefully we can execute.”
What do you feel your team can improve on?
“I believe our team can improve in our secondary and not allowing that deep ball. In past games, teams have been able to throw that deep ball and get momentum by doing that. Also, I think our outside backers need to improve on containing the outside.”
What are your goals for the rest of the season?
“One of my goals for this season is to rush for 1,500 yards. Last year with my hamstring injury, that really set me back in my football career. I am hoping to really excel this year and reach that goal. Also, my goal this year is to win games and have fun while doing so. One last time with the boys of fall.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Loras asked me about playing football and a college in Fort Stockton, Texas wanted me to come visit.”

“No.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“Yes, I plan on making some trips soon.”

“My favorite colleges growing up were UNI and Iowa.”
