What have you been doing as of late with your workouts?
“Our lifting coach, Chris Curry, made me a lifting program and I do that every day. I gave him my maxes and he plugs them into the program and it generates how much weight and how many reps and sets I do. It really helps me to go off that when I am in the weight room so I’m working on all areas of the body and not just focusing on a few.”

What do you feel you have improved on the most since football ended?
“My strength. I lift every day now before school and have made lots of improvement in my maxes since football has been over.”

How do you believe your team will be next season?
“Well, we’re getting bump down from 2A to 1A so that will help us out. We have two other key guys coming back with Haris (Hoffman) at quarterback and Logan Otting at wide receiver. Both of these guys had a hell of a season last season and are key parts to our offense. Next season, I think we will make it pretty far with the next districts and with these guys back.”

What is the toughest game on your schedule for 2018?
“Bellevue and West Branch. These two teams have made a run at the 1A level. I know West Branch has a past of making a lot of playoffs and state appearances. That is the same with Bellevue. They were pretty solid last year and had some good athletes.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I would love to play football. If I get an offer from a school I really like, I will take it. I would love to play football at the next level. I love this game more than anything.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I have not received any college attention yet.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have not made any college trips yet. This is on the agenda moving forward.”

What camps are you going to this summer?
“I am looking to do many camps this summer. There will possibly be a camp at Iowa, UNI, and also a lot of 7-on-7 work with the team at Loras against bigger schools.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My dream school is Iowa or UNI.”
