How did the spring and summer go for you with basketball?
“Basketball went good this summer. I felt like I got a lot better and stronger. I didn’t play much AAU, but I got in the gym every day.”
What are your workout plans now going forward?
“Since I don’t play football or anything in the fall, I plan on lifting and being in the gym every day until our season starts up and getting a lot of shots in.”
What have you improved on the most since last season?
“I would definitely say I improved on getting to the basket and that helped with getting in the weight room. My mid-range has always been pretty good, but I also improved on that.”
How do you believe your high school basketball team will be next season?
“I think our team is going be one of the top teams in our conference again. We lost some really good seniors, but we have some really good juniors and sophomores coming in that make me think we can win another conference championship and make a run for state.”
What is the toughest game on your schedule for 2019-2020?
“There’s going to be some tough ones this year. Denison brought back there two guys so they’re going to be good again, but I think our toughest games are going to be at Winterset and ADM. They’re both bringing back their best players and they’ll be tough games.”
Who is the toughest individual player you will play against this season?
“I think the best player that we’ll go against this year will be Easton Darling. He’s very quick, has great hands, and also a great shooting ability. That’s one guy we’ll have to lock on when we play them.”
What sport do you want to play in college?
“I most definitely would like to play basketball in college and have already talked to a few colleges about it. If I would have the chance though, I would want to play golf also.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“So far, I have talked to Midland, Mount Marty, and Briar Cliff. I plan on visiting Briar Cliff this fall.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“The school that is recruiting me the hardest would be Briar Cliff so far.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have not made any visits yet, but I plan to make a couple in the fall.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite college has always been Nebraska because of how big of a football fan I am of them, but I also love Creighton when it comes to basketball because I spent a few of my years growing up in Omaha.”
