How has the preparation been going for this upcoming season?
“The preparation for this year has been going great. Many guys have showed up and put in work during our weight room and power times. We have had many install sessions where we run through plays and tweak things that need to become better. Also, we went to the Central team camps and competed against some top 4A teams.”
What are your goals for the season?
“My goals for this season are to help the team in any way possible. I primarily played defense last year so that’s what I’m looking forward to and I hope we can bring another district championship to CHS.”
What areas do you feel your team needs to improve on?
“I feel that as a team, we just need to get more reps with each other. Then we can start to pick things out to work on.”
Who is your opponent in the season opener and how do you feel about them overall?
“We play Glenwood in our season opener. I’m excited because it’s a little revenge for last year since they beat us on a late field goal.”
Who do you feel is the toughest individual player you will play against this season?
“It’s tough to point out just one great individual player. I think Fort Dodge’s running back and receiver will be tough matchups, but teams always bring new guys every year.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I have not been getting recruited for football, but I have had school contact me for baseball regarding camps.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I hope to have college visits lined up this year.”
What camps did you do this summer and how did they go?
“I mentioned our Central team camp that we attended but I have also attended personal camps for baseball because that is what I want to get recruited for. I attended a Prep Baseball Report showcase at the University of Iowa and a Perfect Game showcase in Marion, Iowa, as well.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Growing up, I’ve always watched and been an Iowa State fan.”
