How did the high school football season go overall?
“The season went really well. It ended not the way we wanted but we grew as a team. Our new coaching staff gave us a lot of tools to use at the next level.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“For football, I will be attending the Army National Combine in San Antonio in January. For lifting, I will be lifting two times a week during wrestling and four times during track. Wrestling wise, I’ll be hoping to win a state championship and the same for track.”
What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“I am trying to improve my reads as a defensive lineman. If I can read the offensive lineman trying to block me, I will be able to be him every time.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“Next season, I think that we will be really good. We have a lot of spots to fill, but our younger guys worked hard this year and took this year as a learning year if they didn’t play.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“Our toughest team next year will for sure be SB-L.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I really want to play football, but track and wrestling are still an option.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“For football, it has been USD, NDSU, UND, and USF. For track, it is SDSU, Southern Illinois and Navy. For wrestling it has been Gardner-Webb and Davidson.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Recruiting hasn’t been that heavy, especially for football because I made the position switch from OL to DL and at all of the camps this summer I played on the offensive side So, I expect that to pick up this spring and summer once I get my stuff out there.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I took one to USD last year.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Playing for Iowa has always been a dream of mine because of their tradition and how they do things.”
