How did the high school football season go overall?
“I thought it went pretty well overall with us going undefeated and making it four regular seasons in a row of being undefeated but losing to an inferior like Ed-Co to make the Dome really stings. Hopefully we can make another run my senior year.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“It is just to keep working hard. I’m going hit the weight room hard and work on basketball as well.”
What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“My start-stop speed. I’m pretty fast for weight and height, but I have a harder time stopping my momentum on a dime.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“We will be very big, with almost every lineman exceeding 250 pounds and four of us being over 6’3. From left to right we go 250, 250, 280, 290, and 300 pounds.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“Britt. They return a boat load of good players and are extremely well coached. We will have a size advantage, but we need to play well and hopefully match their speed because they are fast.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I will if a school is willing to give me a chance, both basketball and football are options. However, I’m getting better looks for football.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“North Dakota, South Dakota State, and South Dakota have all invited me on visits for football and have been in regular contact with me. UNI has visited the school to talk to our coach, but I was not there and didn’t get to meet him. Yale has also told me they liked my highlights. North Dakota State and Nebraska also have coaches that follow but have not yet reached out. There are about four D2 schools who follow me too over twitter. I think all and all, about six FCS D1 schools have talked to me. Also, Columbia showed a little interest too and NDSU invited me on a football visit.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest
“This is tough. North Dakota talked to me first and have been in contact with me a lot. I’ve also been in contact with South Dakota a lot as well and they had a coach visit me, so it’s close. I would give the edge to North Dakota.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“Nope, I won’t until this March.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“SDSU, NDU, SDU, and NDSU have all invited me to visits and I plan on going to all of them. I hope that list grows to about six, which would be all the schools talking to me.”
