What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“I’ve been working out 3 days a week at Wrightway Gym for about the past two months. Before that, I was working out at home and just staying as active as possible.”

What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“I feel that I’ve gotten much stronger in my legs and in my arms, and my stamina is up a lot from where it was just this past season.”

What are you trying to improve on before the football season begins?
“I want to improve on my footwork more than anything because I know that would really improve my game.”

How has Covid-19 factored into your workouts?
“COVID has really changed a lot of this summer because usually I’d be going to summer fit with the whole team, but now I’m working out at a more private gym with only a couple of guys from the team. It’s affecting me and the team big time.”

How do you feel your team will do this football season?
“I believe we’re going to be just as good if not better than last year and I think we’ll be a team that others will be feared to play. We all have the mindset of wanting to win and we don’t see anyone who’s going to change that.”

Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“I think either Valley or Dowling. Last year, Valley beat us out of the quarterfinals and they’re not a team that can be taken lightly. Both teams are losing our seniors, so who knows who wants it more, but I believe we will win.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against this fall?
“I don’t know many individual players for other teams, so I couldn’t really answer that.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I would love to play college football. It’s something I’ve dreamed of since a kid and hopefully one day I can make that come true. I would love to play for the University of Iowa.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I have yet to really receive any type of recruiting, but I’m hoping after this junior season that’ll change.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“No, I haven’t made any trips yet.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Growing up, my favorite collegiate team has always been Michigan, no matter what sport. My family loved them since I was a kid, so I just fell in love with them too.”
