How did the high school football season go overall?
“Our season went really well, although we would’ve liked to have gone farther in the playoffs. I think that if we played to our potential every game, we could’ve had a very good shot at winning state.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“My biggest plan for the off-season is recover from a torn labrum I suffered in week four. I do not play basketball and due to my injury and the related surgery, I won’t be able to play soccer at all this year. My main goal is to be able to return in time for the start of baseball season, so I will be working hard in physical therapy and strength training when I’m allowed.”

What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“The biggest thing I am trying to work on is my explosiveness and speed on defense. I know I can hit hard, but I want to be the best all around athlete I can be.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“Next year, I think our football season could be just as good as the one we just had. Not everyone thinks we are going to be as good as we were this year because we will graduate a lot of our starters, but we have a lot of potential in our grade and the grade below us.”

Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“I think our biggest competition next year will be Union. Union is always good no matter how many players they graduate. I’m not worried about West Marshall because their entire team revolved around Cameron Bannister.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“In college, I would be interested in playing either football, baseball, or soccer. I definitely think I could play college in any of these sports.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I don’t have any direct recruiting other than invitations to participate in camps for football or baseball throughout Iowa.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I haven’t made any college visits yet, though I’ve had opportunities to.”

Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I plan to visit some schools, including the University of Iowa, Wartburg, Coe College, and others if given an opportunity.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite college has always been Iowa, but I would be open to going anywhere, as long as it’s not too far away.”
