What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“I've been working a lot on watching film on what I can improve better from last year while bettering my feet and hands. Also, I am getting lots of good looks with training at strength U.”
What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“My technique and aggressiveness. My weight has gone up 20 pounds since last season also.”
What are you trying to improve on before the football season begins?
“I'd like to gain more weight and get my feet even quicker with more explosion off the line.”
Who is your opponent in the season opener and how do you feel about them overall?
“South Tama at Benton. They've been a rebuilding team the last few years, but they've got a lot of guys who really want to win. I'm expecting a great game out it for the opener.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“It's always been a huge goal of mine to play Division One football.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I haven't had any contact with coaches recruiting me, but I've gotten follows from coaches from Miami University, Iowa State, Augustana University, and Bemidji State.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I haven't made any college trips except for going to camps.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I haven't been invited for any visits, so I don't plan on going to a visit soon.”
What camps did you do this summer and how did they go?
“I went to Iowa State, which was a good one for me to revisit and learn new techniques. The Nebraska pipeline was a really good one too where I won about 90% of my one on ones. I feel like I was really overlooked though. Those have been the two only camps.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Iowa and Iowa State have always been my favorite team to watch, but when they played each other I'm rooting for Iowa.”
