How has the football season been going for your team?
“It has started out really good. We are 2-0 and that is exactly how we wanted to start. We had a big win on Friday against a good Marion team.”
What areas can your team improve on?
“I would say definitely offense is. Our defense has been pretty solid but offensively we need to work on our offensive line. We have to work on our reads every day. We got to work on our routes. We need to focus on our reads and doing our job.”
What do you know about your next opponent in Cedar Rapids Xavier?
“We know that they always are really good. They are one of the premiere teams in Iowa high school football. We know that but if we do what we do best we’ll be alright.”
What are the keys for your team to be successful?
“I’d say slowing the game down and minimizing their big plays. We have to keep their skill kids in check and stay patient. They’ll have good plays but we have to stick in there and do what we do.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“All of the NAIA and Division III schools in Iowa want me for basketball and football. I talked to Upper Iowa for basketball and baseball. I’m not really near a decision.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“The school recruiting me the hardest is Wartburg for basketball.”
Do you have a sporting preference
“Yeah, basketball is my #1 but I am also up for baseball and football.”
Do you have any plans for fall game day trips?
“I have a few visits. I am going to get on a visit to Upper Iowa soon. I am going down to a school in Nebraska and I am thinking about a visit at Loras or something.”
