How did the basketball season go for your team?
“Basketball went better than what people thought we would do. People didn’t think we could play a tough 3A schedule with only me as the returning player. We had ups and downs, but we pushed through and ended the season at 16-6.”
What are your workout plans now going forward?
“Workouts are every night with shooting off the dribble off screens. I am making every shot as game realistic as possible and doing two ball dribbling. I’ve been getting a lift in with some ladders and jump ropes for foot work drills. I’m working on the little things to improve for next year and AAU season.”
What AAU team are you playing for this off-season? How do you feel your team will be?
“I’m playing for Martin Brothers this year. We are in the UA Rise this year with a lot of tough tournaments. We have a great group of guys who have been together for a while. We have built a chemistry that keeps us rolling smoothly.”
How do you believe your high school basketball team will be next season?
“I believe next year’s high school team could be a state contending team with young talent coming back and four starters returning. I’m hoping for a top 10 team in 2A.”
What is the toughest game on your schedule for 2019-2020?
“Our Toughest game next year is going to be the 4A game against Western Dubuque. They have grown as a team playing in the MVC, so I think it will tough game to go through.”
What sport do you want to play in college?
“My goal for college has always been college. I always wanted to play at the high level. I just have to develop and grow more as a player.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I’ve got some text from Western Missouri, Wartburg, Coe College, and Bemidji State.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I’ve checked out only Wartburg so far into this recruiting process.”
What camps are you going to this summer?
“I have a few camps to decide on yet, so I don’t know for sure what camps.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I’ve always wanted to play at UNI. My mom and dad both went to UNI and I’ve watched them as a kid. I also went to a few games and got to go in the locker room. The atmosphere is just amazing there.”
