What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“Luckily we have been able to get back into the weight room recently, so I have been lifting with the team and doing having other football workouts. Earlier in the summer, I used the rack performance app and our coach put at home workouts on there and I did those to gain muscle this offseason.”

What are you trying to improve on before the football season begins?
“Before football starts this year, I would like to improve on getting quicker.”

How do you feel your team will do this football season?
“We lost quite a few starters, but we have multiple kids that are going to be juniors who have been playing JV for 2 years now and have been waiting for their chance to play. They are ready to step up and play. I would expect us to have a good chance to be playing in the UNI-Dome again and competing for a state championship because that is the standard Audubon football has developed.”

Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“The toughest competition this year on our schedule this year will be St. Mary’s Remsen, who we play week 1 again and played last year in the semifinals. They return tons of kids and have a talented quarterback.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against this fall?
“The toughest player will be from Remsen again with their quarterback Blaine Harpneau. He is extremely quick and can beat you with both passing and running. He is coming off a great year last year.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Playing sports in college is a questionable thing right now. If I wanted to, for sure it would be football or baseball.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I have been texted by some Division 3 colleges in Iowa and a few NAIA schools.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I was going to make a few second semester trips this year, but they got shut down due to Covid restrictions, so I have not visited any yet.”

Do you have any plans for college visits this fall? If so, where?
“I plan on visiting a few small colleges with football programs and also Iowa.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite college program for sure is Iowa.”
