How has the season been going so far?
“Our season has been going really good. Coming into the season we were expected to be inexperienced due to losing our 5 starters, but we are a group of guys that love playing the game together and it feels like we have been playing forever.”
What do you feel your team can improve on?
“I feel like we need to improve on coming out strong right away in the game rather than waiting until later in the game, but lately we have been really good at coming out with a bang.”
What are the keys for your team being successful going forward?
“Our keys to finish out the season would be to put 32 minutes together and to keep playing hard, together, and have each other’s back.”
How do you feel you have been playing?
“I feel like I have been playing good. I started out a little slow because this is my first year of varsity, but lately I have been playing confident.”
What are you trying to improve on the most this year?
“This year, I am trying to improve being more aggressive and playing better defense. I also have more of a leader role this year and I want to continue to improve my leadership.”
What are your goals for the rest of the season?
“My goal for the rest of the season is to finish with one loss and take a trip to the state tournament. Ever since 5th grade when we made it to state, I’ve wanted to play at Wells Fargo so bad. I think with the team we have right now, we have a very good chance.”
What sport do you want to play in college?
“I want to play basketball in college.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have not made any college trips yet.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite college growing up was Iowa State because in 5th and 6th grade, I went to a camp there and met all the players.”
