How has the football season been going for your team?
“We started out slow but we are playing the best ball we have had this year. We are able to drive and score the ball.”
What areas can your team improve on?
“We just got to find some mismatches who can help us move the ball and score. On defense, it is just trying to stop the playmakers of the other team.”
What do you know about your next opponent in Des Moines North?
“They are not the hardest game we’ll probably play but we still have to compete and be ready to play. You never know what will happen.”
How has the transition been to varsity football?
“I went from 8th grade where I was so much more talented and stronger. Now I am going to the varsity field and playing Dowling and Centennial. Their corners were faster and stronger but I just got to play my game and do my best to help the team win.”
Do you want to play football in college?
“Yeah, that is my dream.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I haven’t really gotten anything yet.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I have always been a Hawkeye fan. Really that is just the in-state team that I’ve always liked. I love Clemson. It would be a dream come true to play there but that is a long shot though.”
