How did the high school football season go overall?
“I honestly think the football season went well. We got closer as a unit and performed well as a team. I am definitely excited for the weapons we’re bringing back for this season as well.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“Now that I’ve started to mainly focus on baseball and my future in those regards, my workouts and training have been focused more towards that spectrum. Though I’m doing this, I’m still working out with the team in the mornings and doing track to stay in shape and hopefully get a little faster for the upcoming season.”
What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“I would definitely say speed and durability as well as putting on muscle mass while still being able to move well have been my big focuses for the off-season and I think I’ve made big leaps in those areas.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I feel like our team has the chance to be a state championship level program next year. We have a ton of offensive stars coming back for their senior season and we have a young and talented defense that I know has the ability to stay lockdown for a long time.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“I feel like everyone we play has an equal chance of beating us. I don’t think any one team is better than another, but I do know that we’re capable of beating anyone in the state if we believe we can.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I want to play sports in college. I’d much rather play baseball in college than football but I’m still open to every outcome and if an offer comes along that I like better than another, I’ll definitely consider playing football.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“For football, I haven’t much interest honestly. Maybe that’ll change after my senior season, who knows. For baseball, I’ve had interest from a few out of state schools including Nebraska among others.
Have you made any college trips yet?
“No, I currently have not made any official visits yet. I plan to hopefully take some after this upcoming baseball season.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“If the opportunity arises to take a visit earlier, it would definitely be hard to say no to that.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Both of my parents were Iowa State alumni, so I definitely grew up being a big ISU fan. I’d say now though, I’m more of an Iowa fan just because of the relationships I’ve made with some of the baseball coaches and the beauty of the campus.”
