How has the season been going so far?
“We opened up the season with a loss to our cross-town rivalry, so we’re off to a rough start. We’ve still got eight guaranteed weeks left so we are going to work hard and keep focused on getting better and winning.”

Who is your next opponent? What are your thoughts on them overall?
“Our next opponent is Johnston. They’re a tough team with plenty of talent on both sides of the ball, but their ranking doesn’t change our mindset.”

What do you feel your team can improve on?
“I think my team can improve on our energy. We need to keep that up, not just when the big plays happen for us but when things don’t exactly go our way. Execution was a big problem Friday night against Centennial, and it’s hard to stay up in spirit when we haven’t put points on the board.”

What are the keys for your team being successful going forward?
“Energy, execution and toughness are big keys for our team going forward. We’ve got a few two-way guys, so as a team, we have to stick together through the rough patches and hold each other up to keep moving forward.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, football.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I received an offer from Graceland this summer, but mostly Division II, III, and NAIA schools have contacted me. I also received a game invite from Iowa State that I will be attending September 1st.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I made one visit to St. Cloud State, but there are more to come.”

What camps did you attend this summer? How did the camps go overall?
“I attended Iowa, Iowa State and several 7-vs.-7 tournaments with Team Iowa. They went well overall and was a great warm up for the season.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I never had a favorite college growing up, but I always found myself associating with Iowa State since I grew up in Ames.”
