How did the high school football season go overall?
“Overall, I think the season went well but there’s a lot we need to improve on as a team. We need to become closer as a unit and overall just have a stronger bond and love for each other. I feel like we can get to anywhere we want to go.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“My plans right now for workouts are very simple. I lift every morning with the team and three days every week I attend Acceleration Iowa to improve my speed and agility.”
What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“The one thing I’m most trying to improve on would definitely have to be my leadership on the field and off the field as a student athlete. My goal is to keep my grades up and set a good example for my peers and fellow teammates.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I feel like next season will definitely be better than this season. Our team is extremely young and talented, and I feel like we’re only going to grow and get better in the time we have before next season. It’ll for sure be fun to watch all of us get after it in the off-season.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“Dowling. They’re the best team in the state right now obviously. I don’t think anyone on that team is any more special than anybody we have on our team though. I’m excited especially for that game next season just because of how great a challenge it is for our team. That’ll be the game to watch next season.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I 100% am interested and committed to play a sport at the collegiate level. Football would definitely be my #1 choice because that’s my passion and it always has been. I would also definitely consider doing either track or baseball as well. Right now, my options are open to any college that wants me for whatever sport they want me for.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Right now, colleges aren’t able to actively recruit me as a player due to age restrictions. Schools aren’t able to show interest in me until my junior year of high school. So right now, the answer is no one.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I have two planned trips to game day visits as of right now; Simpson and the University of Platteville in Wisconsin. I’m extremely excited and honored that both of these colleges invited me to attend their individual game day experiences.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite college growing up had always been Iowa State. I think, personally, at the young age I was, it was forced on me just because of the fact that my whole family had attended Iowa State University. But, being older now, I truly love Iowa State not only for its athletic prestige but for its outstanding education and great opportunities as well.”
