How has everything with the football season been going so far?
“Our season has been going up and down so far. We have lost to the number 1 team in the state in OT. We also lost to the number 3 team in the state by one. We have had some close games that we couldn't pull out, but I am confident down the stretch we will pull those games out.”
Who is your next opponent? What are your thoughts on them overall?
“We play Dowling and we have had a rough history against Dowling. I feel as a team, we can for sure get the job done and it should be a good game.”
What do you feel your team can improve on?
“If our team can finish games, we are going to be just fine. If we can string together good possessions on offense and defense, I truly think we are the best team in the state. We just haven't done it yet this year.”
What are your goals for the rest of the season?
“We want to win a State championship. That's our only goal.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“The top three colleges I've been talking to are Miami (OH), Colorado State, and Illinois State.”
Have any colleges offered you?
“I have not received any offers yet.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Miami (OH) and Illinois State both talked to me and wanted me to come to their camps.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“Nothing official yet, it just has been some camps.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“No official trips yet.”
What camps did you do this summer and how did they go?
“I went to a Nebraska 7v7 camp that went really well and got to talk to the QB Coach there in Coach Verduzco. I also went to both Miami OH and Illinois State’s one day camp and got to talk with both of their coaching staffs. All three campuses were very cool.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I've always liked Iowa State when I was young and then I liked Texas when Colt McCoy was there. More recently, I've liked Oklahoma and Washington State because of Baker Mayfield and Mike Leach.”
