How is the basketball season going?
"The season hasn’t started the way we wanted so far but we are coming together as a team. We will be ready to make a run as the season goes on."

What can your team improve on?
"The main thing we need to focus on is finishing games. We have everything we need to win. We just have struggled in the fourth and overtime periods."

What do you know about your next opponent in Des Moines North?
"North is the team everyone wants to beat. For us, a win against them is just what we need going into our rivalry game against Centennial. We want to slow down Tyreke (Locure). That is the main goal with controlling the pace of the game.”

How has been the transition to the varsity level this year?
"The transition hasn’t been as smooth as hoped but I’m feeling confident with my game. I think I’ve found my role on the team. I’m looking to showcase what our team can do for the next three years."

Based on results so far, who appears to be the best team in your conference?
“North is the best team. They have all the hype and are playing with nothing but the thought that they are going to win.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
"Yes, I want to play basketball in college and as long as possible."

What colleges have been recruiting you?
"I haven’t been getting any real recruiting yet and haven’t made any trips."

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
"I don’t really have a favorite college, but I like to follow players like (Alabama point guard) Collin Sexton."
