How has everything with the football season been going so far?
“Things are going pretty well. I went down with a shoulder injury in week 1, but the team was able to get the job done during my absence. We are looking for a district championship and a playoff push.”
Who is your next opponent? What are your thoughts on them overall?
“Our opponent is Roosevelt. They've really come together as a team this year and will be playoff and district champion contenders as well. That will be another good matchup.”
What do you feel your team can improve on?
“Every part of our team can always get better.”
What are the keys for your team being successful going forward?
“We need to focus on staging with the fundamentals and playing our style of football.”
What are your goals for the rest of the season?
“We want to finish the rest of the season undefeated.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I would like to play football in college.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“It has been various Ivy League schools, mainly Columbia, a few PFL schools such as Drake and Valparaiso, various D2 schools such as Minnesota State Moorhead, Minnesota State Mankato, Wayne State College, the University of Sioux Falls, and a few others in their conference. I've also received several texts, emails, and letters from several D3 and NAIA schools.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I made some trips over the spring to Minnesota State Mankato, Minnesota State Moorhead, and Winona State and last fall I took game day visits to Iowa, Drake, and Wayne State College.”
Do you have plans for game day trips this fall?
“I do not have any trips planned at the moment.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I've always been an Iowa fan, but I'll cheer for all the in-state schools.”
