Overview:

Mid-Prairie and head coach Don Showalter continue to win games despite seeing
some talented players graduating. This will once again be the case as the
Golden Hawks finished the 2005-2006 season at 17-9. But without a few
talented seniors, the team must reload quickly But with some nice pieces
in place, don't be shocked to see the team once again compete in the Eastern
Iowa Hawkeye Conference. Kyle Graber, Josh Showalter, and Darian Patterson
combined to average nearly thirty points per game. That trio will be tough
to stop once the season gets underway. But the biggest question at
Mid-Prairie, as it always seems to be, is the play inside. The team has
had some very solid guards over the years but no dominant bigmen. They
must prove they can guard inside this season to be successful.
