Team Strengths:
Work ethic
Question Marks:
Inexperience
Overview:
They finally did it. With an outstanding senior class that finally
understood what it took to win games, Des Moines Hoover won the 2005-2006 Class
4A State title. They put on a defensive clinic all season and it finally
paid off at State. But that was last year. Because of the players
graduated, the Huskies players may be tough to recognize now. Very few of
the returning players saw significant time on the floor and that inexperience is
a huge question mark. But like any Hoover team, expect these players to be
talented and ready to go once the season starts. With their work ethic
being a strength, don't be surprised to see this new version of Hoover fight for
a Metro title and a berth at State.
