This could be a younger player or someone who already has varsity
experience and is ready to step up in a big way. Who deserves to be
mentioned here?

How can Nick Phillips be a breakout player when he had a spectacular 2013?

600+ receiving yards and 7 TD.

I'd say he's broken at and ready to run away!

I understand you questioning it Blame... lets revisit his stats @ end of 2014. I expect both stats x2

Jake Brinkman, Regina.

You are close.

Jake already broke out in my book.

But, his younger brother Jared is going to be a key for the team's success.

Considering he only ran for 536 yards last year and got just 64 carries, I don't think he qualifies as having broken out yet. He's never been the primary back (well, excluding the couple games Dixon missed due to injury last year), and he's going to see a big increase in carries this year. Depending on how heavily Regina wants to lean run/pass this year, Brinkman is going to put up huge numbers.

exactly. He already BROKE OUT in the games in which RD was down.

and, he is, arguably, the state's #1 LB prospect in the class of 2015. Which means he broke out for other people, too :)

He ran for 128 yards and 3 touchdowns in those two games, and had only three games where he ran for more than 45 yards. We've only seen the tip of the iceberg with him at tailback.

I'm guessing you could put just about anyone who wasn't a key starter on last year's Regina team on this list for THEE breakout players of 2014.

Amirite?.......

whoops - I didn't mean to put a 4A player on this.. throw a flag "interference" on work
