New Hampton and Dyersville-Beckman out of the tough District 3, where NFV and Waukon got the 1 and 2 seeds due to tie breaker.
Possibly Sioux Center. 4 seed played Spirit Lake very tough first time around and lost close games to both CL-GLR and Cherokee. If they could pull a first round upset they could make a little noise. Not sure they can hang with Spirit Lake again though.
Weather may play a big factor for passing teams. Beckman would have a much tougher game with calm dry conditions as Mt. Vernon's air game is very solid. Beckman has shown a bit of weakness in pass defense when 1A Clayton Ridge threw for over 400 against them at Dyersville. Of the top 4 in D3 only Waukon throws the ball consistently and they also beat Beckman. Mt. Vernon is not especially strong against the run which gives Beckman another advantage.
