Dowling's prolific offense graduated, but how can anyone score against this year's Dowling defense.

I may be mistaken but wasn't Dowling's defense senior heavy last year? I know Jok and Morris were and they really made life difficult for offenses

yeah the only FT starter was Zachary at corner.

No, just a fan of Dowling. This year's kids played a great deal of football last year. This year's Dline platooned (Bells and Mells) early in a number of games last year (even in the first half when the 35 point rule took effect). Brawntee Wells played when Max Morris was out most of the season. Otte and Shedelhelm played LB when Theis was injured. They'll be brutal against the run. With M. Zachary out the first few games, Dowling will have untested corners and safety. Offenses better throw and get the ball out quick or its gonna be long season for their opponents.

On Dowling's offense everyone is new sans Deskin. He's a load, a tough runner and is very fast. My guess is they'll start JT Brown at QB (he's a better runner than Walding) and run a steady diet of read-option (zone blocking schemes).

The star will be th defense early in the season against a tough non-conference schedule. Dowling will then breeze through their easy district and the defense be instrumental in their 3pete.

Dowling with untested corners and safety. And here I was getting used to Dowling rolling out some amazing defensive backs. I figured we'd have to revert back to our normal sooner or later.
