Pre-season predictions...season is just around the corner!

This is early on, but in Class 2A I could really see Norwalk surprise some people. They lose a few seniors from last year, but their current sophmore class is tough!!

Here are my top five in Class 2A in no particular order.

Norwalk
Webster City
Hudson
Spencer
Storm Lake

Yes, Kevin Meineke left Norwalk for Shattuck St. Marys.

Norwalk will be young, very young. Lots of talented players who saw time last year. Would suggest Sophmore Sam Steenhoek is going to have an incredible year for Norwalk. 1st Team All-State last year as a Freshman as well as earning All-Tournament team honors.

Pauly with the Dutch will be strong.

Did Hudson's 40+ goal scorer graduate?

Harlan? Heelan?

First couple weeks of practice have ended. How is everyone looking?

Anyone chime in on the Valley/Dowling rivalry?

How is IC West, Bettendorf, City High coming along?

The Dutch will not be nearly as strong with Pauly gone.

I had heard rumors he was gone and just checked quick stats and saw that he wasn't listed on their roster.

Anyone know the story?

I know for a fact he left. Unsure where or for how long. Knew there was some rumors about a possible move to Chicago Fire Academy. Wouldn't be surprised if he went back to Derby County as that was one of his goals a year or so ago.

After losing a hard fought game to Newton 2-1, Norwalk bounces back and beats DCG on the road 2-1 in 2OT.

Their tough schedule continues next Tuesday and follows with 6 big games:
-Grinnell
-Johnston
-CR Kennedy (@ WDM Valley)
-DM Hoover (@ WDM Valley)
-@ Ames
-@ Waukee

Norwalk drops another in a very good game vs. Cedar Rapids Kennedy. 1-0.

They play Des Moines Hoover this afternoon.

Their coaching staff always has those boys prepared by playing the toughest competition.
