Pops, in your $$$ diatribe, you left out

Never heard of him but sounds like a guy that escaped Auschwitz, so I will congratulate him for that.

Donated $10M toward the $91M football performance center. It's named after him. On the board of the AU NIL.
Serious question- why can’t someone like Barkley or Bo do that? Even at their ages, I feel like they’d be way more in tune with what kids want and need out of the recruiting process.

Barkley gave $5M but I think it went toward BB. Most of his and Bo's donations are kept quiet. Barkley also has a $5M bequest in his will for minority scholarships.

Because of NIL these behind the scenes recruiters that are not officially coaches are the big time recruiters now. These guys are getting mentioned by every recruit. I think these guys handle the NIL end of it. Even the Mothers and Fathers talk about them. The regular football coaches are either too dumb or don’t have time to study and know about them. They talk to the recruits and family several times a week and sometimes daily.

I was too old for the Ninja craze so it passed over my head. Sorry about being behind times....

It was actually just a horrible joke. I was bored so I had time to post something so incredibly lame.

Today I'm at the doctor and that's why I responded to Honk's Lexus vs Toyota vs Mercedes.

Hope you’re not falling apart like some of the elders here. I’m on a Moby style walker with tennis balls.. lumbar sciatica is attacking me now. It’s worse than anything so far.

I'm in as good of shape now as I've been since college. Depending on the week, I work out 12-15 hours per week with weights and cardio. Cardio is on an "assault bike" or swimming.

My wife is convinced that I'm going through a mid-life crisis trying to bang 20 year olds...because obviously I'm drippy AF. 😂

IIRC you had some spinal injury and were on opiates for a while? That was about the same time as Tracy was really sick too?

Yea...that was a rough stretch and it's why I'm doing what I'm doing today. It was time to shit or get off the pot.

My injury was lower back (crushed disc, vertebrae and stenosis) and I had surgery to repair it. However, the only way I was ever going to get better was by strengthening my core. I'd always wanted to be a cop and I'd retired from my first career so this made since to me. Not to anyone else, of course.

The opiates made me mean and it's just no way to live. Getting started almost killed me...literally...but once I pushed through, man I feel great.

Find a way to use physical therapy to get yourself back to where you need to be. If that therapy kills you....fck it, it was time to go anyway. If it doesn't, you'll get your life and vitality back.

Just changed my tennis balls out. Bought a pkg from Walmart already slit. Looks like I'll be tethered to this thing forever..

When I had my c3-c6 reconstruction PCDF they gave me 3 weeks of OxyContin… I only used about 3-4 days worth and locked them away. The robaxin did me a lot more good. I did the PT and I’m in pretty good shape above the shoulders now. Same degenerative process developed L4-5 with the bone spurs… pain is a helluva lot worse but the surgery PROBABLY will be a lot less invasive.

Also, my daughter bought me a tray that fits on the walker. Nice for morning coffee & breakfast.
Good on the tray for convenience, but I say this being on a walker crap is for the birds. Somebody needs to find a better way than being tethered like that. Maybe when Sleepy Joe finishes curing cancer he can address that issue. Getting old needs to suck less.

Too late now, but c3-6 is relatively common and can be done through the front now. Recovery time and pt satisfaction is miles better than PCDF.

Tell me about it. The alternative also stinks.

BTW, when you go out, their is a bag that straps to you leg under your pants. Not so bad.
